We run multiple event series throughout the year.
Beyond our events, there are events organised throughout Queensland by other clubs and groups. You are welcome to attend any event with almost every event catering for all ages and abilities. Some events do require pre-entry to assist with planning.
Event Types
Explanation of popular event types
Forest – Long
The original form of orienteering. In forest terrain. Courses range from 15 minute (Under 10s) to 90 minute (Elites) winning times.
Forest – Middle
A shorter faster version of traditional orienteering with winning times 25 to 35 minutes.
Sprint
Generally in a uni or school campus. Europe use small villages. Winning times 12 to 15 minutes.
Night Nav/Street-O
A score event run in the cool of the evening around suburban streets.
Park-O
Orienteering in the larger urban parks, like 7th Brigade Park, Chermside.
MTBO
Oreinteering on a Mountain Bike.

Saturday afternoons in a local school campus. Permissions are sometimes tricky so check each week for the location.
Enoggeroos Learn to Orienteer
Term 2 2025
A mix of bush/park/campus environments, with courses for beginners to experienced orienteers.
